🌈 The Bridge – Membership Terms of Service

Thank you for joining The Bridge — a community-based membership program designed to help pet parents prepare emotionally and financially for the final stage of their senior pet’s journey.

By enrolling in The Bridge Membership, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Membership Overview

The Bridge is not an insurance plan. It is a community support membership that offers emotional support, educational resources, and limited reimbursement for certain end-of-life and aftercare expenses.

Members contribute a monthly fee to access:

Up to $1,000 per membership year in eligible reimbursements for final veterinary visits and aftercare (euthanasia, cremation, or memorial services), including up to $150 total per year for wellness care such as annual checkups, lab work, or arthritis medications.
Access to our private online community for educational support and Q&A with volunteer veterinarians (non-urgent guidance only).
Invitations to the Annual Bridge Memorial Service.
Access to member-only discounts and partner offers.
Monthly newsletters with senior pet wellness content.

“Eligible reimbursements” refer to documented veterinary or aftercare expenses that meet the criteria outlined in these Terms and are submitted within 60 days of the service date.

2. Eligibility

Membership is open to pet parents with dogs or cats age 7 and older.
Each pet must be individually enrolled.
Additional pets in the same household may be added for $20/month per pet, up to a maximum total annual reimbursement of $1,000 per household.
The $150 annual wellness reimbursement limit applies only to the primary full membership and is not available for additional pets enrolled at the $20/month add-on rate.
Add-on pets share the same annual household reimbursement maximum of $1,000 for final veterinary visits and aftercare.

3. Waiting Period

All new memberships include a 90-day waiting period before reimbursement benefits become active. During this time, members may access community resources but are not yet eligible for financial reimbursement.

4. Membership Term & Renewal

Membership is billed on a monthly recurring basis until canceled by the member.
Membership automatically renews each month unless canceled before the next billing cycle.
The membership remains active only while the enrolled pet is living.

5. Reimbursement Process

Eligible members may request reimbursement for qualifying expenses by submitting:

A copy of the paid invoice from a licensed veterinarian or aftercare provider.
A brief reimbursement form identifying the service type (euthanasia, cremation, etc.).
Proof of active membership.

All reimbursements are reviewed for eligibility and processed within 5 business days.

The annual reimbursement maximum is $1,000 per membership year per household.
All reimbursements are subject to available community funds and program discretion. Reimbursements are not guaranteed and may be adjusted to maintain fund sustainability.

6. Exclusions

The Bridge does not reimburse for:

Preventive, emergency, or general veterinary care unrelated to end-of-life services.
Routine care or treatments exceeding the $150 annual wellness limit.
Over-the-counter products or medications.
Gratuities, travel fees, or non-veterinary expenses.
Services rendered during the 90-day waiting period.
Any services performed before the start of membership.

7. Cancellations & Refunds

Memberships may be canceled at any time through your member portal or by contacting help@thebridge.pet.
Membership fees are non-refundable, including partial months or unused benefits.
If a member cancels within the first 90 days, no reimbursements are available.
Upon cancellation, reimbursement eligibility immediately ends.

8. Community & Volunteer Support

Volunteer veterinarians and community members provide general, non-urgent advice for educational purposes only.
This does not replace professional veterinary care. Always seek emergency veterinary attention when needed.

9. Liability Disclaimer

The Bridge and its operators are not liable for any outcomes resulting from veterinary decisions, aftercare services, or advice received through the community platform.
Membership fees contribute to a shared compassion fund and do not guarantee reimbursement or service availability.

10. Tax & Legal Status

The Bridge is a for-profit membership program operated under Everyday Services Group LLC.

Membership fees are not tax-deductible and are not considered insurance premiums.

The Bridge is not an insurance provider and does not operate under any state insurance regulations. Participation does not create a policy or guarantee of payment for any specific service.

11. Modifications

The Bridge reserves the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Members will be notified of material changes via email or website notice.
